Casa Amarillo
Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica
"The home should be the treasure chest of living."
- Le Corbusier
Our Story
The above picture is a gorgeous photo of the front yard from the front porch. I've been living in Puerto Viejo for nearly three years, and it took me two years (of pretty much constant searching) to find this gem I now call home.
The land the home sits on belonged to Indigenous Tribes of the Bri Bri and Kokoldi respectively. The trees on the land feel ancient and wise. As does the energy as a whole. The generous back, front and side yard all have ample space for gardening (it's very easy to grow things in Costa Rica, due to the climate) and I find just standing on the ground barefoot is enough to reset and relax my nervous system.
